Peer Benchmarks · Solo tier and above
How do you compare to your peers?
Your consumption, spot-price exposure and carbon intensity, benchmarked against anonymised percentiles from gridIQ customers in the same region and facility type. Rebuilt monthly. Minimum 10 contributors per category for statistical soundness.
How it works
- On consumption upload, gridIQ classifies your site by region and facility type (factory, data centre, cold storage, office, mixed, etc.)
- Every month, gridIQ aggregates all customer consumption into anonymised percentiles (p25, p50, p75, p90) by region and facility type
- Individual customer data never leaves the aggregation: only the percentiles are shared
- Categories with fewer than 10 contributors are suppressed entirely
What you see
- Your percentile ranking within your cohort: are you p25 (best 25%) or p90 (worst 10%)?
- Peer p25 / p50 / p75 / p90 values for comparison
- Monthly cost per MWh consumed, broken down by time-of-use
- Emissions intensity percentile for Scope 2 reporting
Why a minimum contributor threshold
Below 10 contributors, any percentile is dominated by a handful of individual customers and stops being anonymous. We wait until we have enough data per category to produce numbers you can rely on without risk of identifying any one customer.
Privacy
Per the privacy policy, benchmark participation is opt-in. Your upload contributes anonymously unless you explicitly opt out in Settings → Assumptions. The aggregation runs against the organisation-level site table and never returns row-level data to any caller.
